YES!!

However, unlike wax, sugar only sticks to the hair and dead skin cells. It does not stick to live skin and sugar removes hair in the direction of hair growth. This is opposite of wax. Most clients will say that sugaring hurts less due to the healing process being minimal compared to wax. Removing hair never feels great but the results are going to be amazing! We will show you sugar, go over positions, and discuss our process at the time of your first booked appointment.

Ladies, this is no worry to us! We understand that not everyone is comfortable with this idea, but as professionals it is OKAY! We just ask that you wear a tampon and tuck your string. Most of the time the string may come loose and that is OKAY too. Take some ibuprofen beforehand because we are typically far more sensitive while our cycles are here. Don’t stress we will always take care of you & help you feel comfortable!
 

cancellation policy

While we recognize life happens please be respectful & arrive at your designated appointment on time. Tardiness in excess of 10 minutes  will forfeit your appointment. We kindly request a 24 hour notice if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Cancellations within the 24 hour window are subject to fee. All services are required to have a card on file. The card may be removed from the customers profile once the appointments are completed. After 3 no call no shows  a credit card will be required for all future appointments and appointments must be prepaid. Our policy is in place out of respect for our  practitioners & clients. We appreciate your love and continued support.

In an effort to continually provide excellent customer service we would like to ask & encourage clients to make child care arrangements prior to appointments. We understand child care can be challenging and expensive. To be sensitive to our guests that are unable to make child care arrangements, we are happy to offer appointments at a time the studio allows child care hours. If you are in need of an appointment in which a minor will be attending please contact the studio directly. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Studio Sugar’s sugaring products do not adhere to live skin cells

This is one of the major differences between sugaring and waxing. Wax products are made of resins which adhere to skin cells. Because wax sticks to any surface it is applied to, pulling it away causes unwarranted pain. Our sugaring products never adhere to live skin cells on bodies and faces. Therefore, when it is removed, it only gently exfoliates away dead skin cells, leaving behind silky smooth skin.

Additionally, because our sugaring paste is all natural and WATER SOLUBLE, it can be easily rinsed away.  At the end of your session, a warm washcloth rinses away all stickiness leaving you with beautifully smooth skin.

When waxing legs and bodies, you remove the hair against the natural direction of growth causing undue levels of pain. With our sugaring method, you only remove the hair in the natural direction of the hair growth. Plus, through our sugaring application technique, the sugar paste seeps into the hair follicle. This helps lubricate the hair root regardless of whether it’s on the legs or anywhere else on your client.

These two facts alone make a world of difference in comfort for the client. This is especially important for clients who have suffered in the past with waxing in sensitive areas.
